SPONSORED BY THE DC YOUTH FUTBOL CLUB IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BR SCORE

INTRODUCTION
The DC Youth Futbol Club and BR Score will conduct it’s 2nd annual youth soccer trip for boys and girls ages 9-15 from February 14 to 22 in Santa Rita do Sapucaí in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Parents are also welcome and encouraged to attend. Many activities are planned including day trips to tropical rainforests, coffee and sugar cane plantations, town tour, spa, sampling the local cuisine and restaurants, coffee bars and going to other special events.

SANTA RITA DO SAPUCAÍ
Santa Rita do Sapucaí is a small town of approximately 40,000 residents and 3 hours by bus from Sao Paulo. The town’s economy is based on coffee, sugarcane and a high tech University.

ACCOMMODATIONS & FOOD
Dormitory style accommodations with 2 players to a room on the Escola Técnica de Eletrônica “Francisco Moreira da Costa” campus. Parents will have the option of staying in local cottages not far from the facility if interested for a small surcharge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be catered and served for players and parents in a buffet-style setting immediately adjacent to the player accommodations. The group will also dine at local restaurants and sample authentic Brazilian food in a casual setting.

SAFETY AND SECURITY
The facility and campus have 24 hour security and a gated entrance. In addition, there are night watchmen that patrol the area as a precaution. The town itself is safe, players and parents are safe walking around and it is an extremely friendly environment.

COST
A direct round trip flight from Dulles to Sao Paulo, Brazil is in the $900-$1000 range. We will make all airline booking arrangements.  Accommodations for DCYFC players/parents including food is $1,500/person ($1,250 for DCYFC members).  Included in the cost is bus transportation upon airport arrival in Sao Paulo to Santa Rita, return to Sao Paulo and for parent outings during the week.

THE FEBRUARY 2019 TRIP
WATCH THE VIDEO:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dbrDutPj1HA&t=2s

The DC Youth Futbol Club organized a youth soccer trip to Santa Rita do Sapucaí during the DC Public Schools (and other schools on the European School calendar) winter term break from February 16-23, 2019.  Unfortunately the Maryland Public Schools do not have this week off.  However, it’s up to the parents to make this decision.  The trip is not only a soccer journey but a cultural experience and to become acquainted with other social and economic life-styles.

The trip is open to DCYFC players.
