TRIP TO BRAZIL 2019
GETTING TO BRAZIL
For DCYFC to bring players and parents unable to meet the financial commitment, the DCYFC coaches and parents orchestrated an Auction to raise funds for the trip
DCYFC AUCTION on NOVEMBER 1, 2018
On behalf of the entire membership including coaches we want to say thank you to the 75 friends who attended the auction at Guapo's Restaurant and to many others who either could not attend or provided financial and in-kind support.
In a very short planning horizon, we raised more than $12,000 to provide financial assistance to seven players and several parents on our trip to Brazil in February 2019.
We hope this will be the start of an annual adventure. We've received offers to go to other clubs in Spain, Peru and many other countries. In the coming years, we hope to bring some of our girls teams.
As part of the Club's commitment to give back to the community along with First Touch Soccer (www.FirstTouchSoccer.org), we intend to expand our mission and support the effort to fight homelessness in the District of Columbia.
We look forward to raising awareness to the plight of those most unfortunate and to seek your support in ending a national epidemic. I have some personal perspectives on this and hope you will be so kind as to support this effort in 2020.
Further information will be forthcoming over the next couple of months.
