Travel Soccer Quality without the Hassles and Headaches of Travel

DC YOUTH FUTBOL CLUB

Washington DC
USA

NEW SOCCER CLUB FORMED

A new soccer club and league called "DC Youth Futbol Club" has been established in Washington DC USA.

We are a full service club that offers a more competitive and higher level of soccer.  Join a club/league with committed and talented players.

We are in the truest sense an "Academy."  We train the same players of different ages throughout the year by offering 4 seasons of training, coaching, intra-league games and Select Team friendlies against other local clubs.

You don't need to play travel soccer from ages 7-12.  DCYFC can improve your technical skills, tactical understanding, physical conditioning and psychological awareness. You will appreciate our training methods, our system and preparing you for soccer glory!

No hassles of driving one hour or more to games on saturdays/sundays in Maryland and Virginia.

It is your opportunity to come and play with coaches and trainers who can improve your skills and understanding of the game.  No yelling, screaming or sideline commentary here.

It is based on positive feedback, constructive dialogue and a dedicated effort to enhance your abilities with coaches who understand the game.

DCYFC consists of U7/8, U9/10 and U11/12 boys teams.  Girls are welcome to join if so motivated.  We continue to seek committed and passionate individuals and additional teams to round out each age group.

If you want to continue to play kickball on saturdays, this is not the club for you.  Our Board of Directors and coaches are committed to improving your soccer skills, your tactical understanding of the game and playing "total futbol."

The term "total futbol" was coined by Holland and played by the Dutch teams of the 1970's.  Johan Cruyff, the Dutch master, used this philosophy in creating what is the current style of FC Barcelona futbol.

While we don't expect to accomplish the Barcelona way, you will learn how to play what is known around the world as the "beautiful game."

Our roster of DCYFC players -- ranging in age from 6 to 12 --are gifted and developing good skills and habits. Come join us in playing "the beautiful game."

WHO SHOULD REGISTER**

Boys (girls welcome) ages 7 to 12;

The key ingredient is a commitment to learn and strong motivation to train. We'll improve your skills but its up to you. One of our mottos is: "You play the way you train."

Players who are motivated to enhance their abilities and play at a higher level than saturday recreation "beehive kickball";

Players who have not been selected for travel teams.  You have shown the interest and dedication that is required.  Perhaps you need more training or were overlooked.  We are on a mission to create dynamic footballers -- join us.

Players wanting to make continued advancements and those with the ambition to play in middle school or high school.  You will play with other committed and talented players you can learn from and compete against.

** If you are 10 years of age or younger and have not played, we will offer you a tryout.  Unfortunately, for boys and girls ages 11 and older who have not played before, at the present time we do not have the resources or staff to devote our time.  We suggest you contact the DC Department of Parks and Recreation or another local soccer club in the area.  Thanks for your understanding.

TRAINING

The most exciting and intriguing aspect of the DC Youth Futbol Club will be the training of players on a weekly basis within their age group during the Spring and Fall.

DCYFC will offer professional-type, age-specific group 1 1/4 hour training once per week.

This will consolidate field requirements by eliminating the need for each team to conduct its own practice, provide professional-level training and mimic the way clubs around the world conduct business.

We are training 6 - 9 year olds who have the technical skills and game understanding to play years above their age bracket right now.

WHY?
We get the kids early in their development and teach them good habits.  We do not have to take the time trying to break them of bad habits learned without proper technical training, coaching and game understanding.

We have trained 9-13 year olds who continue to play with us and also compete at the highest levels of youth soccer in the area. If you are interested in reaching the upper echelons of youth soccer, we can work something out.

Go ask 13-year old Marcelus "GameOver" Jones. Marcelus was First Touch Soccer's original participant when the program started in 2007.  Marcelus, because of his strong desire, motivation and incredible athletic ability, is currently in the Virginia ODP 1998 program.

Nicknamed "GameOver", it was a "2-touch" simulated game last month, when Marcelus received the ball on the ground with his back to goal, with his first touch he volleyed it up into the air and with his second touch blasted a bicycle-kick rocket into the Upper 90 from 16 yards out to end the game!  Eight year olds Fedie O, -- our Uruguayan/American prodigy -- and Bruno "I can get out of traffic with my dribbling because I'm half Italian" S, couldn't believe what they just witnessed!

OUR COMMITMENT

DCYFC will provide a safe, friendly and genuine futbol atmosphere for the players and parents.

The DCYFC will focus on the kids and futbol.  The club will eliminate bureaucracy, confusion and inefficiences.  No lectures, no meetings, no hassles -- just FUTBOL.

Finally, we will respond to every parent and/or coach inquiry within 24 hours.  You have our word on it!

All games are on Sundays from 3:00pm - 7:00pm at the Palisades Recreation Center Turf Field located at 5200 Sherier Place NW Washington DC.

Weekday Training

Thursdays (4pm-5:15pm) Ages 10 & Older & Fort Bayard

You are welcome to come and join us for a tryout.

The cost is $200/player for 10 games and 10 training sessions.

That is $200/season compared to a minimum of $1,500/player/season for travel soccer.  And that includes teams calling themselves elite "travel" yet playing in area recreation leagues or glorified recreation.

Our DCYFC U9 Select team has played and beaten local travel club teams in friendly matches.  We have the quality and coaching.  Join Us!

You tell us which is the better deal?

Aren't you tired of playing on worn out or cow pasture tall grass or rock and patchy grass fields?  And no referees to ensure the safety and protection of the players.

Come join us on TURF or manicured grass fields.
