NEW FUTBOL CLUB

A new soccer club and league called DC Youth Futbol Club (DCYFC) has been established in Washington DC.  It will consist of U7/U8, U9/U10 and U111/U12 Boys and Girls teams. Games will be played at Northwest DC parks and schools on Sunday AfternoonsThere will be a Spring and Fall season with league play to begin in Spring 2012. The club has made arrangements with local establishments and businesses to sponsor each team.

WHO IS IT FOR?

DCYFC will have separate U7/U8, U9/U10 and U11/U12 Boys and Girls Divisions.  DCYFC will seek:

  • 10 Boys and 10 Girls teams in the U7/U8 and U9/U10 divisions; and
  •   6 Boys and 6 Girls teams in the U11/U12 division.

Each team will play 9 or 10 games in a season.  In the U7/U8 and U9/U10 divisions each team will meet an opponent once during the season.  For U11/U12, they will face each team twice during the season in what will be billed as “home” and “away” matches.  Games will be 4v4 + goalie (U7/U8), 5v5+ goalie (U9/U10) and 6v6 + goalie (U11/U12).  The U7/U8 and U9/U10 groups will play 20 minute halves and the U11/U12 group will play 25 minute halves.  Teams can have as many players as they deem necessary to meet game requirements.  Fields will have age-appropriate field dimensions and goals, clearly marked and manicured grass or turf fields and a DCYFC coach or FIFA-certified referee for every match.

For Spring 2012, ages for each group is as follows:

U7/U8:           Born on or after April 1, 2003 or in the 3rd grade or younger

U9/U10:         Born on or after April 1, 2001 or in the 4th grade or younger

U11/U12:       Born on or after April 1, 1999 or in the 5th grade or younger

TRAINING IS THE KEY

The most exciting and intriguing aspect of the DC Youth Futbol Club will be the training of players on a weekly basis within their age group.  DC Youth Futbol Club will offer professional and age-specific training for U7 through U12.

Training is offered on Wednesdays from 4:30pm - 5:45pm.  This will consolidate field requirements by eliminating the need for each team to conduct its own practice, provide professional-level training and mimic the way clubs around the world conduct business.

REGISTATION COST & OPTIONS

There are two registration options.  You register either as an individual or through a team registration.

To register as an individual player, you can submit a registration form and will be assigned a team if none is selected.  The player registration fee is $100 per season with scholarships available where needed.  Individual players can register on the
Player Registration page.

The second option is to register as a team.  The team fee to participate in the league is $800, $900 and $1000 per season for U7/U8, U9/U10 and U11/U12 respectively.  If you register as part of a team, it is unnecessary to register as an individual.  Each team manager can provide DCYFC with a team roster sheet and specified details.  Team registration is on the  Team Registration page.

TRAINING COST

An additional fee of $75/player will be assessed per season for those participating in the 10 weekly training sessions.
